Inn Ministry Streamlines Its Operations

Jim and Janet report that they’ve been working with local organizations including the Junior League, the Lion’s Club, and local churches, to solicit donations of goods for Inn Ministry. They’re asking each participating organization to bring specific items in quantity so they can plan and serve people more efficiently by knowing exactly what they have, how much, and not needing to sort, store, and organize it on distribution day.

Contributions from our congregation are still very welcome. We especially need money to buy bus passes and for emergency rescue operations. For instance, Inn Ministry recently paid a room rental for one night so a family’s belongings wouldn’t be thrown out before they could secure continued assistance.

If you want to donate goods, the items Janet requests for our congregation to give are peanut butter in “regular size” jars, breakfast cereal, and applesauce cups (any brand — not necessarily the ones in the picture).
