- Noon – Hands Off Rally at the corner of Jefferson St. and Lee Ave., we will be handing out flowers to passerby’s as well as wish everyone a happy mother’s day. Speakers will be talking about women’s rights, reproductive justice, and keeping the government off of our bodies.
- May 13th:
- 6PM – Freetown Port Rico meeting at 800 E Vermillion St., Maison Freetown. Our Fellowship is in the Freetown – Port Rico neighborhood and we’re in the process of examining our Coterie Plan. Come and make your voice heard and participate in the neighborhood.
HAPPENINGS
Meeting with UUA Southern Region Consultant on May 9th

We will be having a meeting with staff from UUA Southern Region Congregational Life at 11AM. The Zoom link will be provided through announcements closer to the meeting time. They are our local connection to the UUA. The staff have expertise in most aspects of congregational life and also have program areas of expertise.
The mission of Congregational Life staff is to:
- Coach: Congregations feel supported in their work, both structural and missional
- Connect: Congregations feel they are a part of a larger Association
- Challenge: Congregations understand their covenantal relationship with their UUA
- Companion: Congregations feel known, cared for, heard, seen and affirmed
- They support the health and growth of congregations and other Unitarian Universalist communities.
Mothers Day on May 11th
Mothers Day is celebrated this upcoming Sunday, the 11th of May. We will be having a sermon related to the holiday and we hope everyone can enjoy the holiday! Don’t forget to put together your gifts before Sunday comes around.
