Our theme for February is Resilience

Resilience is the ability to recover from difficult experiences and setbacks, to adapt, move forward and sometimes experience growth. It is a necessary skill for coping with life's obstacles and one of the key ingredients to success.

Rev. Dr. Bill Sinkford's sermon begins with the idea that wetlands are resilient. They can remove toxicity from theenvironment. Toxicity in our thinking that scarcity exists in many aspects of our lives can be eliminated by recognizingthe abundance that exists in the natural world. He discusses the idea of the 'zerosum game' -- that one person's gain means another person's loss is something that is deeply ingrained in our society and causes great suffering. We can aspire to be'wetlands'
