ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • DON'T FORGET POTLUCK IS THIS COMING SUNDAY!

EVENTS

POTLUCK: June 9 is Potluck Sunday.  Last month's potluck was well attended. And what better way to extend community than by breaking bread together.

The Inn Ministry The Inn Ministry continues to provide food, clothes (especially socks!), emotional support and important advice to those in need.  Having a phone and proper identification is crucial to getting back on one's feet.  Connecting folks with the proper resources is a large part of the ministry, all while providing food.  "This will be the best I have eaten in months," said a young woman at the Inn.  The bus passes get folks to work and to medical appointments and interviews. Thank you for your continuing donations of cash and food.

Pride Fest:
Our UU Fellowship is planning to take part in the Pride festivities on June 29.   We are still hoping to set up our booth.  Our booth last year drew lots of visitors, so we're hoping to somehow squeeze in.   We still need volunteers to walk in the parade as we carry our UU banner.   If you are interested in helping out or in marching in the parade, contact Mary or Chris. Thanks to those who have already volunteered!

The Gathering Discussion Group:  Discussion Group this month falls on June 16, which is Father's Day.  The topic of this month is Humility.  Join in the group as they open hearts and expand minds.

Last Sunday's Sermon
In last Sunday’s sermon, Humbly Unitarian Universalist, Rev. Christin C. Green urges us to find a way to describe our UU faith to others by stating what we do and believe instead of what we do not do and do not believe.  Can you talk extemporaneously about our principles and values?  Rev. Green encourages us to think about this.
