Our theme for April is Transformation.

This Sunday’s sermon: Easter Flower Communion by Rev. Julien Kain

As with the UU symbol of the flaming chalice, there is no one orthodox interpretation of this flower ritual.

The beauty and diversity of flowers is seen as symbolic of the beauty and diversity of life, and how each individual is a unique whole unto themselves. During the ritual, congregants contribute flowers to a central location, and later the flowers are distributed among the participants. The choice and contribution of a flower by each congregant symbolizes the free will with which the congregant approaches the ceremony. Joining the flowers in a shared location represents the equality of people

Service reminder: please consider bringing a fresh flower to exchange

this Sunday, March 31.

Happy Easter!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

UUFL Discussion Group

On Sunday, March 24, immediately after the completion of the service and the sharing of a light lunch, nine members and guests of the Fellowship participated in our first monthly Discussion Group.  Rev. Julien Kain facilitated the 90-minute session during which participants shared personal thoughts and experiences evoked by spiritual passages from UU-related publications.  The Discussion Group is open to anyone choosing to attend and will be held once each month.  The topic of the readings will vary each session based on the Touchstones theme for that month.  The hope of the Fellowship is that this Discussion Group will enrich our members' lives and help grow our community.  The date for the April session will be announced soon, and your participation is encouraged!

We are still collecting donations for The Inn Ministry. They continue to need powdered milk, peanut butter, and protein. Cash donations are always needed for bus passes.
