Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship of Lafayette
Greetings fellow UUs and supporters!
We are meeting IN PERSON
and on Zoom until further notice.
Our theme for August is Activism.
“Activism is not limited to the grand
gestures or the large-scale movements;
it begins with the small acts of kindness
and compassion we show to one
another every day. It is about
recognizing that our individual actions,
when combined, can create a ripple
effect that can bring about real and
lasting change. Never underestimate the
power of your voice, your actions, and
your ability to inspire others.” Malala
Yousafzai
(Yousafzai rose to international prominence after
she was shot in the head as a teenager on her way
home from school in Pakistan in 2012 by the
Taliban, who targeted her for speaking out about the
importance of education for girls.)

Courage, Action
In these difficult times, it can be easy to

pain of the world. However, all we have
to do is look to our own principles and
history to know how to find hope, have
courage and take action together. Nell
Hahn will also be visiting us to tell us
about the Cuban Water Purification
project we are contributing items to this
Sunday (see the announcement below.)
