Greetings fellow UUs and supporters! We are meeting IN PERSON and on Zoom until further notice. Our theme for August is Paradox. --- Sunday, August 14th Service: While science is doing its best to figure out the what, where and why of our consciousness, the paradox is why do conscious beings choose or have to experience unconsciousness on a regular basis. And where does our consciousness go when we sleep and how do we know to bring it back intact. Scientists explorations span the mystical to the physical to further understanding this paradox. Presented by Diane Kirksey. --- Service Outline Service slides Facebook Event Please visit us either in person at 1119 Johnston St. or on Zoom: tinyurl.com/zoomuulala or via the link at uulala.org. We poured these all together into a carafe representing our shared community. From our Water Communion Ceremony: 'Just as we live separate lives, we come together as a beloved community to gain strength, wisdom, and yes, love from each other. Our lives merge together just as the separate containers of water merge into the larger vessel.' Service outline Service slides ---
