UU Fellowship of Lafayette Greetings fellow UUs and supporters! We are meeting IN PERSON and on Zoom until further notice. Sunday, December 26th Service: Our theme for December is Healing and on that list is the need for healing the neglect for our histories of feminine deities. In her sermon 'Reflections on the Divine Feminine, Rev. Tracy Johnson examines these roots and suggests a possible return to embracing the divine feminine from our current patriarchal-leaning societies. Visit us this Sunday, December 26th in person or on Zoom for this thought-provoking service. We are located at 1119 Johnston Street, Building 12 behind Dominos Pizza. 10:30-11 am for fellowship, and 11-12 noon for the service. Go to uulala.org for our Zoom link to the service or you can use this one. If you are unable to attend or would like to follow along you can view the interactive service slides or read the sermon. After the services we usually pick a local restaurant to eat lunch. Let us know if you have special dietary needs -- we want to include you! If you will be visiting us and are on Facebook, please mark yourself going in the event Last Sunday's service recap: In her sermon 'How to Survive the End of the World', Rev. Molly Housh Gordon observes the state of our planet as it careens toward it's (and perhaps our own) demise. But all is not lost if we are committed to -- and successful in -- performing a juggling act of working toward better ways of living while doing our best to meet our and our families' daily needs. She concludes with some practical ways to make this happen. Kiera did a wonderful job leading the service and reading the sermon. Thanks to our other readers also!
