UU Fellowship of Lafayette

Greetings fellow UUs and supporters!

We are meeting IN PERSON and on  Zoom until further notice.

Sunday, December 19th Service:

Our theme for December is Healing and on that list is the need for healing our climate, economy, society -- essentially our way of life. In her sermon 'How to Survive the End of the World', Rev. Molly Housh Gordon observes the state of our planet as it careens toward it's (and perhaps our own) demise. But all is not lost if we are committed to -- and successful in -- performing a juggling act of working toward better ways of living while doing our best to meet our and our families' daily needs. She concludes with some practical ways to make this happen. Visit us this Sunday, December 19th in person or on Zoom for this thought-provoking (and hopefully, action-provoking) service.

We are located at 1119 Johnston Street, Building 12 behind Dominos Pizza. 10:30-11 am for fellowship, and 11-12 noon for the service. Go to uulala.org for our Zoom link to the service or you can use this one.

Unable to attend or would like to follow along with the interactive service slides
Fellowship begins at 10:30 am and service from 11-12 noon. All are welcome to join us at one of the local restaurants afterward. Please let us know if you have special dietary needs -- we want to include you!

If you will be visiting us and are on Facebook, please mark yourself going in the event

Last Sunday's service recap:
Our service last Sunday was on Reiki -- a healing technique -- practiced by Katie Miller, C.C.T.

'Reiki' translated means 'universal life energy'. It is this energy that those such as our guest, Katie Miller, are trained to channel. Applying Reiki techniques by means of touch to their patients, natural healing processes are activated that can restore physical and emotional well-being. Katie visited us on Zoom and gave a wonderful presentation. View the interactive service slides.
