This Sunday's service title is 'Shadow work - a path to self love and radical self-acceptance' read by Kiera Frey. Shadow work is the process of attempting to uncover within ourselves our inner darkness or “Shadow Selves” which are characteristics that we have hidden such as anger, guilt, shame, disgust and grief. By revealing to ourselves dense feelings and emotions that we have hidden, and embracing them, we unburden ourselves. We may gain profound insights about ourselves and create opportunities to heal. Shadow work can bring up painful memories that you do not wish to repeat, but it is critical to understand what happened to you. That’s where you can reframe what exactly happened and the beliefs you created in your mind that affected your perspective of self-love, healthy connections, and receiving love. Philip Frey is sharing a song recording. Thanks, Kiera and Philip! And thanks to our other service volunteers: Chris Menard, Mary Guirard, Carol Rice, Chaz Frey, Bill Edwards Fellowship from 10:30 until the service at 11 am. If you are unable to attend, you may view the interactive service slides which contain the sermon text and music selections.
