SUNDAY SERVICE This Sunday Bill Edwards will speak on the 'Ambivalence of Peacemaking'. While compromise is considered a universal value, it is not always the most reasonable answer. Bill will cite examples where attempts at compromise have been costly in the past. Covered are scenarios such as What if Lincoln had refrained from military action against the seceding states? What if Roosevelt had avoided war with Germany and Japan? and What about the U.S. interventions in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan?
