Hello all! This month's spiritual theme is 'Mindfulness': Mindfulness is the call to pay attention. Being mindful is paying attention to our self, others, and the world. SUNDAY SERVICE FOR APRIL 18TH: This upcoming Sunday's Zoom service will include a sermon segment titled 'MrHabitat Returns to Lafayette for Earth Day!' with environmentalist and troubadour William "Bill" Oliver from Austin, Texas. Bill has been educating Austin on environmental issues for many years through his music compositions, performances and community outreach. He will be performing some of his compositions for our enjoyment and will answer questions after the service. Many of his songs are directed at a younger audience, so include the kids for this! We welcome Bill with open arms! More about Bill Oliver: Bill Oliver grew up enjoying the bayous and neighborhood ditches of his childhood days in Houston. He dreamed of life on the Mississippi River and houseboats in the swamps. Thanks to Mark Twain and Chuck Berry, he combined his desire to be a 'singing tree hugger, and river rafter." He lives in Austin, but hopes to reincarnate to Louisiana. Esp. Lafayette!
