Mayday Plans, UL March for Inclusion, and Downtown Faith Alliance

Hello everyone! I would like to add a few announcements to our newsletter as well as issue a correction. Thank you for your patience as we transition the newsletter into my (Adrian’s) hands!

First, the Downtown Faith Alliance meeting will NOT be on the 1st of May. It will be on the 6th of May. Downtown Faith Alliance meets on the first Tuesday of every month. It will still be at 10AM at the Fellowship, and we will be examining the causes and solutions of homelessness and hunger in our community.

Secondly, there will be a march for inclusion at UL on the 30th of April at noon. This march is for inclusion, as UL recently announced the closure of the Office of Campus Inclusion. Details are attached in the flyer below.

Lastly, I wanted to remind everyone of the Mayday plans coming up on May 1st. Following the Mayday Picnic at Prejean Unity Park at 12pm-2pm, we will be returning to the Fellowship afterwards to discuss International Workers Day and perform Mayday ceremonies. Here’s a flyer with information about the picnic.
