Newsletter – 18 Sept 2024

    Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Lafayette

September’s theme is DEMOCRACY but we’re celebrating the Autumnal Equinox Sept. 22nd.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it’s the only thing that ever has.

The 2024 Rummage Sale UU Fund-raiser — Start Collecting Items!

It is not too early for UUFoL members and friends to begin thinking about how they can make the October 26 fund-raising sale a success. You can begin by collecting items you no longer need or want, as well as by asking family and friends for donations.  Donations can include household items for kitchen and bath, home décor, linens, tools, toys, sporting goods, musical instruments, jewelry and fashion accessories, antiques and collectibles, and small furniture pieces.  All donations must be clean and in good working order. The event will be held at Jockey Lot.  More information will follow next week.

All proceeds from this sale will go to this year’s operating budget.  For more information, contact Chris Menard.

Ingathering- It’s almost time for our annual Ingathering service which includes a water ceremony. Bring water from your important summer experiences (in actuality or symbolically if you didn’t keep water at the time). And then share those experiences with the rest of us.
